Cheatburger to the max!

Burgers are beautiful and need to be treated with respect. It awesome that there are so many ways to make a burger. From healthy to heart attack versions. This time I made a heart attack version. Two giant beef patties packed with flavour and topped with bacon and caramelized onions. What do I need more?
I think I need a glass of beer with this one. Cheers!

Ingredients:

– 2 fresh baked buns out of the oven
– 360 gram ground beef
– 1 teaspoon of onion powder
– 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
– 4 drops of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 red onion
– 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
– 4 bacon strips
– 2 slices of cheddar cheese
– 2 tablespoon of Ketchup
– 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
– Handful of Arugula
– Oil and butter
– Salt and pepper

Prepare:

  1. Cook the buns to perfection and let it rest on a towel.
  2. Get a bowl and mix the ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. And shape 2 beautiful burgers.
  3. Cut the red onion in half and then in rings.
  4. Heat up a pan with butter and lower the burgers into it with the bacon.
  5. Cook the burger on each side around 3 minutes on medium fire. Add the cheese on top. Let it melt and take the burgers out to rest. Take the bacon out of the pan when they are crispy.
  6. Heat up a pan with butter. Add the onions into the pan and cook till it is soft. Add a bit of sugar and let it caramelize. When it is done let it rest.
  7. Time to built.
  8. Mix the ketchup with dried oregano and put a bit of the spread on your bun.
  9. Then layer the bacon strip with a bit of onion, followed by your burger.
  10. Repeat step 9.
  11. Put on top of the burger arugula and your done!
  12. Enjoy!
