Burgers are beautiful and need to be treated with respect. It awesome that there are so many ways to make a burger. From healthy to heart attack versions. This time I made a heart attack version. Two giant beef patties packed with flavour and topped with bacon and caramelized onions. What do I need more?

Ingredients:
– 2 fresh baked buns out of the oven
– 360 gram ground beef
– 1 teaspoon of onion powder
– 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
– 4 drops of Worcestershire sauce
– 1 red onion
– 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
– 4 bacon strips
– 2 slices of cheddar cheese
– 2 tablespoon of Ketchup
– 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
– Handful of Arugula
– Oil and butter
– Salt and pepper
Prepare:
- Cook the buns to perfection and let it rest on a towel.
- Get a bowl and mix the ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. And shape 2 beautiful burgers.
- Cut the red onion in half and then in rings.
- Heat up a pan with butter and lower the burgers into it with the bacon.
- Cook the burger on each side around 3 minutes on medium fire. Add the cheese on top. Let it melt and take the burgers out to rest. Take the bacon out of the pan when they are crispy.
- Heat up a pan with butter. Add the onions into the pan and cook till it is soft. Add a bit of sugar and let it caramelize. When it is done let it rest.
- Time to built.
- Mix the ketchup with dried oregano and put a bit of the spread on your bun.
- Then layer the bacon strip with a bit of onion, followed by your burger.
- Repeat step 9.
- Put on top of the burger arugula and your done!
